Using 400 years of history and the Bette Midler film ‘Beaches’, this show is a light and self-deprecating look at the backstabbing and general cattiness that can undermine relationships between women.
Nikki Kennedy is a performer, director and choreographer. A graduate of Sydney Film School and UOW Performance (with Honours) she works predominantly with Sydney based performance collective Applespiel. Collaborating with companies Boho Productions (ACT), The Offshoots (UK) and Coney (UK) Nikki creates quirky takes on complex situations, and has a tendency towards interactive performance. Her honours performance ‘Writing in White Ink’ examined the complexity of relating to feminism in 2011.
